I just received my personalized certificate for the service I provided to ACS journals as referee and to the scientific community. Generally speaking, if I have the time, I’m happy to write reviews for journals published by scientific societies, but I always avoid writing peer reviews for journals run by private companies that make a lot of money off them. In my opinion, the scientific community should try to avoid this type of journal.
